JOB SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1) Establish and maintain an agile and efficient enterprise information management strategy to capture and preserve fit-for-purpose information and deliver it to the right people at the right time. Ensures that all information management strategy deliverables are completed timely, consistently and within our high quality standards and established budgets. 2) Oversees the collection, storage, management, quality and protection of data within the supervision function. Ensures data is consistently managed by defined owners and that data-related decisions and improvements are driven by data owners in consultation with users and the business as a whole. 3) Simplifies information management through the use of well-defined processes, standardized technology platforms, and well defined metadata consistent with applicable business purpose. Ensures data is protected with appropriate security and access management processes in alignment with changing business needs. 4) Establishes well-defined information management processes, standardized technology platforms, and appropriate metadata practices consistent with applicable business purpose. Aligns data policy and administration with relevant regulatory, legal and ethical mandates. 5) Oversees coordination of Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA) and internal security program compliance for national S&R business line, including the Division of Supervision and Regulation at the Board. Manages security incident coordination and response for national S&R business line. 6) Defines security and information management standards. Ensures that information security and information management standards are implemented and followed in the System supervision function. Defines security and information management standards. 7) Develops and maintains critical alliances with counterparts in the Federal Reserve System's information technology areas; works with business leaders to advocate for the supervision function's business needs with national technology leaders to advance the Information Security and Information Management needs of the S&R division. 8) Leads and develops a diverse team of individuals to meet Federal Reserve Board expectations for information security and information management. Sets priorities, ensures accountability, reviews work products, facilitates talent management and succession planning, assesses development needs, and delivers coaching to ensure continuous development of skills, competencies and talent pipeline. 9) Participates in System-level technology committees. Ensures S&R security and information management needs are adequately represented and understood by Board and National IT leadership. Represents S&R interests to address inconsistencies between Board and National IT standards and practices. 10) Negotiates effectively and resolve conflicts to achieve information security and information management goals while maintaining positive relationships with key stakeholders. Demonstrates balanced judgment and well-reasoned, objective decision making in situations that may involve complex issues and potentially adversarial circumstances. Demonstrates a capacity to identify and pursue multiple initiatives simultaneously and deliver sustained, high-quality results. 11) Must be able to travel domestically to meet the expectations noted above. Up to 10 percent in any given quarter. II. DIVISION SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS: This Assistant Director will report to the Senior Associate Director of Technology and have oversight of three teams focused on information management, information security, and advanced data analytics for the division. 1) Demonstrate knowledge of information and security management technology trends and perspectives. 2) Experience crafting and implementing both strategic and tactical technology plans. 3) A minimum of 5 years' experience managing and leading team members. 4) General understanding of the capabilities and limitations of a wide range of information and security management technologies, platforms, architecture, and methodologies. Well versed in emerging information and security management technologies 5) Experience achieving results in ambiguous situations by being adaptive and resilient; holding people accountable for agreed to results, managing for performance, demonstrating professionalism and thoroughness by moving issues and projects to closure. 6) Experience building collaborative relationships based on trust, performance and professional approaches. Ability to use personal credibility, background, experience and judgment to be influential with internal and external audiences. 7) Demonstrated experience identifying, promoting and developing talent, providing continuous, relevant and constructive feedback in a genuine manner. 8) Ability to communicate effectively with different audiences, including executives and staff, by adapting style and approach. 9) Possession of or the ability to obtain US Secret Security Clearance, which requires US Citizenship. 10) This position will be located in Washington, DC. 11) This position is not eligible for full-time telecommuting benefits. Must be able to anticipate and meet the clients' needs while maintaining high-quality end products. 6) Exceptional organization savvy and agility as demonstrated by ability to manage across organizational boundaries, building high performing teams, diminishing organizational silos, strengthening teams, and facilitating effective group and team dynamics. 7) Requires the ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with all levels of staff and management. IV. VII. INTERNAL MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES: 1) Provides guidance, coaching, and feedback to, and conducts performance reviews for managers and other direct reports, and ensures same is provided to all function staff. 2) Responsible for accomplishing approved program objectives for area(s) of responsibility within the financial and personnel resources allocated by the Board and the division's senior management. 3) Participates in the development of the division's strategic plan, goals, and budget. Recommends program objectives and their priorities for area(s) of responsibility. 4) Recommends personnel actions involving promotions, reclassifications, merit increases, and reassignments or separations in area(s) of responsibility.
