Summary Successful candidates will develop working relationships with the goal of providing customers at the Federal level w/excellent technical service, using professionalism and cooperative manner. Will work with highest levels of management at various locations in NOVA, supporting a large end user base using Remedy to track issues & resolutions. Responsibilities Answer inquiries into the Help Desk, via phone, or electronically Record events/problems and resolution in ticketing system (Remedy) Provide first and second level diagnosis & troubleshooting of Microsoft Windows problems May provide third level desk side support, troubleshooting network and enterprise related issues Prioritize service issues, troubleshoot and notify appropriate persons in the event of equipment failure Maintain a daily log of work performed and submit reports and other paperwork as required Provide Active Directory account management Provide VPN support to remote sites Install and configure new PC hardware and software on desktops, laptops and peripherals such as phones, printers, external drives and other related hardware Develop, prepare, test and deploy hard drive images Perform basic computer wired and wireless network troubleshooting Interact professionally with clients exhibiting strong customer service skills Requirements US Secret or higher Security clearance 1+ years' experience for Tier I; 4+ years' exp. for Tier IV as a help desk technician or other IT customer support role of large user base CompTIA Security+ certification Knowledge of Windows, 2010 networking fundamentals including routing, TCP/IP, DNS and DHCP Familiarity with emerging end user technologies (ie iPhones, iPads, Android based phones) Knowledge of ticket tracking systems, for example Remedy, Service Now Must have a "can-do", friendly and cooperative attitude Ability to research, diagnose and resolve technical issues Meticulous analytical and organizational skills with proven ability to multi-task Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills, must be able to communicate clearly, courteously and professionally Preferred Bachelors' Degree in Technical field Microsoft Certifications a plus Must have minimum of Secret Security Clearance and CompTIA Security+ Certification Salary dependent upon experienceEmployees are the face of our company.
