Parsons is seeking a candidate with a desire to enhance the fabric of our community.Role:Under direct supervision, undertakes regular technical support assignments to modify, upgrade, maintain or troubleshoot Engineering Systems (ES) software and hardware. Evaluates assigned issues, questions, small projects and problems. Selects and applies standard and non-standard ES technical support procedures and practices to complete each assignment satisfactorily.Assignments are usually well defined in terms of extent and desired results, as described in the standard ES Support Matrices. Works directly with end users at various offices and field locations both directly and indirectly (physically or in a virtual environment). May assist on special projects to meet standards, for example, in the rollout of a particular technology or collaboration system.Responsibilities:Assist with the design, implementation, and maintenance of enterprise networksNetwork device configuration automation using AnsibleConfigure Juniper, VMWare, and Palo Alto devices and services Responsible for triaging and providing technical support to end for regarding hardware and software issues within defined SLAsTicket queue management and escalationResponsible for creation, modification, and suspension of AD accountsResponsible for endpoint inventory, imaging, deployment, software maintenance, and reclamationResponsible for endpoint network patching to switching layerResponsible for the creation of projects within the information system.Proof of US citizenship or permanent residency is required due to government or federal requirement.U.S. citizens ONLY due to government or federal requirement.Applicants selected for employment will be subject to a federal background investigation and must meet additional eligibility requirements for access to classified information or materials.Secret clearance required.Qualifications:Associate's Degree in Computer Science, information systems, engineering or related technical discipline, with experience in both engineering and IT. and typically 2+ years of progressive experience working in one or more of the following areas: engineering, design, architecture, application systems (Eg, ProjectWise, CAD).Certifications:Recommended: Vendor certifications (Eg, Autodesk, Bentley, Intergraph and ESRI). Microsoft Windows Operating systems (Eg, Microsoft Certified Engineer), SQL or other related certifications.Knowledge of advanced computer hardware, such as 2D and 3D workstations utilized for engineering and design.Working knowledge of computer-aided engineering, tools and methodology.General knowledge of engineering and design applications such as AutoCAD, MicroStation, ProjectWise.A familiarity with software deployment tools such as ParStream.Problem solving and analytical skills.Ability to work effectively as part of a technical ES team.Written and oral communication skills appropriate for the position, including the ability to speak well in basic professional situations (may include communication via telephone or in person). Ability to write basic documents (may include email or memos). Typically communicates with a limited group of individuals (employees and some managers) throughout the organization and may occasionally communicate with those outside of the organization (ie clients, vendors).Must be eligible to obtain and maintain, or currently possess Secret clearance.Ready for action?
