JOB PURPOSE: Performs job duties as required in the electrical task level progression program. Electricians will demonstrate the required skills of each task level prior to moving to the next classification. Electricians will meet or exceed customer expectations relative to quality and on/time delivery. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (other duties may be assigned): Adheres to company policies and procedures at all times. Utilizes basic hand tools to perform assigned duties. Performs jobs with at least a fundamental understanding of reading measuring devices. Performs at least the basic job functions of proper lifting and overhead work. Electrician I Installs wire ways, conduits and cable trays, and ground electrical equipment to adhere to customer specification and/or NEC code. Electrician II Performs simple connections of utility wires, and understands how electrical circuits function. Responsible for the threading of conduit and reading blue prints. Electrician III Leads groups, assign functions and/or duties, identifies and analyzes proper installation according to legends and maintains 6S programs on all applications. Sets customer furnished equipment per blue prints specifications approved by Engineering. Properly installs gear, SWGR, VFDs, ATS, DCS systems, transformers, DC chargers, PLC cabinets, etc. Successfully installs utilities for all electrical enclosures. Performs installation of interconnects for DCS systems, SWGR, PLC cabinets, etc. QUALIFICATIONS: Education/Experience: High school diploma or equivalent; Vocational/Technical degree in electricity or equivalent helpful The characteristics described above are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Knowledge/Skills: Knowledge of the processes for general manufacturing increasing with level and years of experience. Successful AZZ electricians are self-motivated, have a high attention to detail and like to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Entry level and intermediate electricians expand their knowledge while continuing their education to obtain a license and/or certificate.
