DC Metro area accounting firm seeks full time experienced accountant. Ideal candidate should have three to five years of experience in nonprofit or small business accounting. Individual should have a working knowledge of GAAP and be able to work independently. Flexible work schedule is available. Experience with QuickBooks required and Sage 50 software a plus. The work assigned will be on a client by client basis and will be identified in advance of the project. Projects will include preparation of checks for signature, posting of bank deposits, posting of credit card transactions and payroll. Monthly tasks will include reconciling bank accounts and preparation of financial statements. Additional assignments may include assisting with audits and tax preparation.
