IND 002-004Our client, a growing software company located in Northern Virginia, has a need for a staff accountant on a contract to hire basis. This role will be responsible for preparing journal entries, account reconciliation, and detailed monthly reports. The ideal candidate will have a BS in either accounting or finance with 1+ years' experience in a general ledger role.Responsibilities Verify and post all business transactions in regards to accounts payable and accounts receivable as needed Monthly expense variance analysis Inter-company transactions and reconciliations including foreign currency accounting Assist with Month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing Perform Bank Reconciliations Assist with financial reporting Qualifications Proficient in processing invoices, posting to vendor accounts and processing cleared checks 1+ years' GL accounting experience required Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field Previous experience utilizing SAP is strongly preferred Intermediate to advanced Excel skills required Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and projects Strong analytical and communication skill
