We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, team oriented, veterinary technician to join our busy practice. Chesapeake Veterinary Surgical Specialists' (CVSS) COLUMBIA location has grown & we are looking to add at least one more member to our already talented team of anesthesia technicians. We are looking for a registered veterinary technician or eligible to become one in MD in the next 6 months that is passionate about anesthesia & surgery. We will consider applicants that are not registered but have at least 2 years of experience monitoring anesthesia during critical small animal (feline & canine) surgery. The ideal candidate must be highly motivated, have a strong work ethic, and be able to work independently. Must be able to work 4 (10 hour) days between the hours of 7a-7p (M-F). Primary Job Duties: calculating drugs, CRI's & fluid rates prepping patients for surgery induce, monitor and recover anesthesia patients scrubbing in for soft-tissue and orthopedic surgeries obtaining radiographs clean/wrap/sterilize surgical instruments placing IV catheters venipuncture Besides a competitive salary (based on experience) ; our benefits include health insurance, paid vacation, personal time & holidays, scrub allowance, 401k, CE allowance and more.
