OverviewSystem Planning and Analysis is looking for a finance professional to become a part of our fast-paced, award winning team. This position will report to the Director of Business Management and have a dynamic portfolio of responsibilities. The PCA will have a seat at the table for decision-making and for making SPA a superior company in our industry. #IN123ResponsibilitiesThe ideal candidate, will be both tactical in operations and strategic in thinking. The Principal Financial Planning and Controlling Analyst (PCA) thrives on both the program control and corporate controller responsibilities of the job and you understand the difference. This is a new position so we're looking for someone who can make it their own. The PCA Analyst will be responsible for creating a new program spend plan and the Customer's EAC Assists with cash flow by approving expenses insuring invoices are submitted to clients timely. Work side by side with Program Managers to help their programs be successful Be responsible for program revenue and profit reporting. Supports financial planning, forecasts, as well as provide controller responsibilities such as A/R, Journal entries, A/P, etc Must continuously be energized by a fast pace environment and know how to balance closing each month with attending needed PM/customer meetings Brings best practices to support our financial plans and policies, accounting practices and procedures. Interacts with all functional and line organizations. Other duties as assigned by the Business Director. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field, with minimum 5-7 of experience with financial planning, analysis and operations in a government contracting setting Strong analytical and communication skills are required Individual must be a proactive problem-solver and strong team player. Requires a strong knowledge and experience with FAR compliance, CAS compliance, DCAA compliance, GAAP compliance and SOX compliance. Must understand financial statements and ability to interpret and evaluate profit and loss statements and balance sheets relevant to operations; proficiency in Costpoint / COGNOS a plus. Software proficiency in Excel, Word and Powerpoint a must. Must be a \u201chands-on\u201d contributor and want to be part of a company and team environment.
