With a growth rate of double digits in the last year, our Washington DC, MEP firm is looking to add an electrical engineer to join their team. The electrical engineer will be working with the electrical engineering team on building systems and closely with energy conservation. Responsibilities Designs power, light and fire alarm systems Selects and analyzes equipment, layout designs and specifications Surveys and evaluates existing conditions of systems Acts as a liaison for municipal, state and other public regulators Collaborates with clients, third-party contractors and staff members on establishing plans and achieving set expectations Essential Qualifications 2-7 years of electrical inspection experience Experience in multiple building projects including commercial, education and multi-family Proficiency in Revit MEP and Microsoft Office is required, AutoCAD and 3D Modeling CAD Software are pluses Strong oral and written communication skills with clients, third-party contractors and staff members Participate as an active member of a project team and able to work independently Education Requirements Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering EIT is required, PE license is preferred Desired Qualifications 3+ years of electrical consulting engineer and design experience LEED AP Certification Locally based candidates What We Offer Located off of public transportation Health, dental and vision insurance Career development opportunities Exam reimbursement, renewals and paid society membership fees Retirement savings plans Short-term and long-term disability Work-life balance Team outings EOE
