Fairfax Drive, Arlington, vA Responsibilities Deploy and configure Microsoft Azure cloud services according to best practices Build Azure VMs, Azure NetworkingVPCs Setup Azure storage, Load Balancers, Auto Scale, Resource Manager, Azure DNS, Database services (SQL, MySQL etc) Setup Active Directory(AD) and integrate systems with AD Use system automation technologies and configuration management technologies such as Chef, Puppet, Ansible or others to create standardized IT environments Designs, plans, and integrates cloud computing and virtualization systems using infrastructure as code and modern cloud-native deployment techniques Design and build CICD DevSecOps pipeline and work with other teams to integrate security best practices. Use tools such as Jenkins, Maven, Artifactory, Git, SonarQube. Design and build containerized environment using Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift etc. Develop Azure Functions for serverless use cases Work with Solution Architects to conduct proof of concepts (POCs), and assist in production implementations Assess existing application stacks and suggest Azure cloud native services for applicability Assess existing environments for opportunities to simply, automate or bring efficiency to technical processes Develops automation scripts for efficient deployment and operations of cloud and virtualization systems. Advanced troubleshooting including analyzing log trace files in Azure environment, opening service requests, collecting documentation, working with vendors, and driving problem resolution. Qualifications BABS engineering or related IT, System Engineering, or STEM degree (or an additional 4 years of related experience in lieu of degree) 3+ years of experience in Azure cloud architecture Hands-on experience and extensive knowledge of Azure services (VMs, Network, Storage, Database, Application services etc.) and standards and best practice configurations 3+ years of experience with cloud automation and scripting (Auto-scale, Azure Resource management, Scripting, PowerShell) 2+ years of experience creating deployment scripts (eg, Puppet, Chef, Ansible) 1+ years of experience with containers (eg, Docker) In depth understanding of Cloud Migration methodologies and best practices Strong Linux (RHEL preferred) and scripting background for task automation (Python, Ruby) Exposure to big data solutions in cloud environments (SQL services, SQL datawarehouse, Big data services) Experience with supporting documentation for Authority to Operate (ATO), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Knowledge base articles. Deep knowledge of software deployment, versioning and release management processes Experience working with and supporting software production server environments 3+ years of experience in Agile practices 8+ years of experience in Systems Engineering Experienced in Agile software development practices and tools Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)
