Please contact emarianialtaits.com Applications Oracle DBA Baltimore MD Long term contract (W2) Responsibilities Installing and upgrading the database server and application tools Allocating system storage and planning future storage requirements for the database system Modifying the database structure, as necessary, from information given by application developers Enrolling users and maintaining system security Ensuring compliance with database vendor license agreement Controlling and monitoring user access to the database Monitoring and optimizing the performance of the database Maintaining archived data Backing up and restoring databases Contacting database vendor for technical support Generating various reports by querying from database as per need Requirements Bachelor's degree in computer science, mathematics or related field preferred(or equivalent experience) This position requires at least 3 to 5 years experience working in database administration In-Depth knowledge of database theory In-Depth knowledge of database design In-Depth knowledge of Oracle Knowledge of structured query language (SQL), eg SQLPSM or Transact-SQL General understanding of distributed computing architectures, eg Client server model General understanding of operating system, eg Windows or Linux General understanding of storage technologies and networking General understanding of routine maintenance, recovery, and handling failover of a database Perform full life-cycle activities in support of FEP Bridge Tenant Plan onboarding projects which will include 1. Develop complex database processes using PLSQL, containing batch or ETL functionality. 2. Assist project and development managers to define the scope and develop plan for the project deliverables that requires database objects. 3. Lead the development team to create database objects on multiple environments and assisting them in writing queries that performs well. 4. Accountable for data migrations and data system refreshes. 5. Participate in performance tuning activities. 6. Design logical and physical ERD diagrams, process flow diagrams, or related data processing documentation. 7. Leverage Oracle 11g12c features to their fullest on a large-scale multi-terabyte environment. 8. Participate in project work groups with Subject Matter Experts and stakeholders to understand data specific needs. 9. Provide production deployment and production support as needed This position requires a BABS in computer science or equivalent experience, and more than 5 years professional software development experience in object-oriented language, including minimum of 5 years' experience with Oracle. Specific requirements include, but not limited to Experience with Oracle RDBMS and using all available database objects and utilities. Experience with using complex SQL and PLSQL statements. Experience with data loadingunloading using sqlldr, Java or Python Experience using a data modeling tool for creating logical and physical ERD diagrams. Experience with source control management. Excellent communication skills both written and oral. Excellent teamwork skills.
