Title IT Security Project Manager Location Mclean, VA Duration 6+ Months Job Description The Project Manager is expected to lead multiple projects concurrently. The project manager will be responsible for execution against plan, including the associated tracking, reporting and stakeholder management. Plans, executes, and finalizes projects according to deadlines and manage projects within budget. Understands resource allocation and utilization and coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants in order to deliver projects according to the work plan. Must be able to coordinate project teams across distributed locations, time zones, and business groups Ensures communication by developing and delivering timely status reports and project stakeholder notification. May include presentations to steering committees or other governance boards. Required Skills Strong interpersonal and excellent written and verbal communication skills ability to communicate with Senior leadership Ability to establish strong working relationships across IT, business lines, and external stakeholders. Develop and maintain close working relationships with all key stakeholders to ensure early visibility of any potential changes to the project and assess, negotiate and manage any changes to scope Ability to manage change and priorities and coordinaterealign project resources Group facilitation skills, negotiation and ability to influence and drive decisions Ability to articulate project challenges to project stakeholders and IT Leadership in a timely manner for escalation transparency and guidance. Highly developed oral and written communication skills, and an ability to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels, ranging from control functions to technical teams and senior business leaders Facilitate the identification and resolution of project risks and issues Microsoft Project 2010, 2013, or 2016 Experience leading projects for IT Security or Infrastructure. Cyber Security related experience either data loss prevention andor infrastructure security hardening. Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio) and MS Project
