Job Location Washington, DC Job Type Contract (Likely to convert to Permanent position) Duration 9-Months Clearance Clearable US Citizen Pay Up to 80-110hr (Depends on Experience) This position will support a federal government contract that is due within 9 months for re-compete. Upon renewal of the contract, this position will convert to full-time employment. We are seeking a senior level IT Project Manager that will assume the responsibilities for the remainder of the current contract, and contribute towards the successful renewal of the contract. The Project Manager will work directly with the customer and will be responsible for leading a team that will identify alternative approaches to determine environmental gaps, and then propose a series of tactical and strategic recommendations to improve the current infrastructure environment. This includes managing resources, scheduling, customer expectations, risk, and budget. This position requires hands-on project management experience, a strong background in technology (infrastructure), and experience implementing technical solutions. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSRESPONSIBILITIES Lead successful professional services projects to achieve customer delight while achieving expected financial results. Provide technical input and review to assure that the customer requirements are understood and that the correct professional services products and solutions are quoted. Take primary responsibility for project scoping, project definition, and structuring of project plans and resources including statements of work. Assign and manage project participants, resources, and deliver projects on schedule within projected budgets. Manage customer expectations and project scope from order through delivery, ensuring the financial and technical viabilityquality of each project at all times. Handle many multiple concurrent projects and apply the correct amount of business and technical acumen. Manage day-to-day activities of the project, including order verification, customer meetings, work packages and specifications, account team liaison, QA of service, and closure items. Identify, resolve, and communicate project issues to all key stakeholders in a timely manner. Manage vendors and subcontractors, negotiate contracts and bids, and assure successful delivery of deliverables from vendors. Participate in professional services solution development efforts, solution documentation, and knowledge management. Performs additional duties as assigned RRQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE Project Management Professional (PMP) certified ITIL v3 experience andor certifications in ITIL v3 Foundations is highly desirable. Bachelor s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field 8+ years of experience in technical solution implementation, design, deployments and project management in technical environments. Technical experience should include a substantial mix of the following IT infrastructure, including WLAN and wired network deployments Wireless voice and data application deployments on a range of mobile devices Network upgrade projects and network system engineeringimplementation Software installation and configuration eDiscovery andor data analytics software experience highly preferred (Intela, Nuix would be ideal) Project management experience should include Proficiency with project management fundamentals, eg, work plans, schedules, resource plans, and status reports Project-level PL financial responsibility Managing vendors through structured agreements and the administration of specific awards from menus of pricing through to work completion and invoicing cycles. Experience working in auditing environments. Must be a leader. Candidate must be well spoken, direct the efforts of the staff and get in front of the customer(s) with the right message. Candidate should be respected by the staff. Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate across diverse audiences and influence cross functionally. Must be customer concentric and have the ability to target technical and business concepts, tailoring the message appropriately to the right audiences. Ability to work with and address the specific needs of various departments within an organization while maintaining a big picture vision of the organizations goalsmission. Broad based technical background in computer networking, IT infrastructure, and IT system administration. General understanding and familiarity of FIPS 199, NIST SP 800-53A, and NIST SP800-37 is desired. Confident, proactive approach to managing difficult situations, conflicting requirements and schedules, and energetic people. Must be able to make sound decisions based on incomplete information, under pressure, and maintain project focus. Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze data sets to determine trends, establish strategies, and make decisions. Ability to multi-task as well as be strategic, creative and innovative in a dynamic, fast paced matrix team environment to include customers, vendors, and technical architects and engineers. Proven ability to complete goalsprojects on time delivering high quality results.
