Summary DNI is providing Manpower and IT Support for the Navy Joint Strike Fighter Program in Arlington, VA (Crystal City). We are currently interviewing for Network COMSEC Engineer ndash to support this initiative in an enterprise-level work environment. Essential Responsibilities Maintains records and reports concerning network operations and maintenance. Troubleshoots network performance issues. Analyzes network traffic and provides capacity planning solutions. Monitors and responds to complex networking hardware and software problems. Responsible for installation, and support of network communications, including LANMANWAN systems. Provides assistance and oversight for information systems operations activities, including computer and telecommunicationscommunications operations, data control, LANMANWAN administration and operations support, operating systems programming, system security policy procedures, andor web strategy and operations. Monitors and responds to hardware, software, and network problems. Provides the routine testing and analysis of all elements of the network facilities (including power, software, communications machinery, lines). Utilizes software and hardware tools and identifies and diagnoses complex problems and factors affecting network performance. Patches and maintains network continuously to meet security compliance standards. Minimum Experience Required 2 experience in Network Engineering at an Enterprise level 2 years of experience with Routing and Switching Experience with creating and maintaining network design drawings in Visio Experience in DOD environment Demonstrated experience working with complex system implementations and organizational processes to include maintaining system documentation. Solid understanding of IP addressing and implementation of DHCP TEMPEST encryption, key management, and communications standards (eg Electronic Key Management System (EKMS) Common Tier 1 System) Computer Security data networks, protocols amp related cryptographic equipment integrated circuits Preferred but not required Prior experience with General Dynamics TACLANES andor other cryptographic equipment Working knowledge of VMWare InfrastructurevSphere Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) Minimum Education Required BSBA degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related IT discipline. ALLOWABLE SUBSTITUTION An additional four (4) years of experience can be substituted for a BS or BA degree. Active Secret Security Clearance with investigation date within the last 6 years.
