The primary purpose of this position is to perform a variety of duties in the analysis and evaluation of cyber operations, and to complete developmental assignments and training outlined in the formal training and development plan.

Responsibilities

  • Performs moderately difficult and complex assignments consisting of well-precedented tasks to further orient the employee in the application of occupational and agency missions, policies, and objectives, as well as tactics, techniques, procedures.
  • The work consists of different and unrelated Cyber Operations processes and methods requiring the employee to recognize conditions and elements that must be identified, analyzed, and evaluated to discern interrelationships.
  • Carries out special projects and participates in special initiatives and studies.
  • Drafts or prepares a variety of documents to include briefings, newsletters, reports, letters, and responses to routine inquiries. Uses software such as word processing, spreadsheets, program language, plotting software, etc., to facilitate work.

Qualifications

This is a Central Salary Account Palace Acquire position and is education required to include but not limited to:

Any individual who completed all requirements for an associate, bachelor, master, professional, or doctorate degree from a qualifying educational institution within the previous two years Recent Graduate Program;

-OR-

Any veteran released or discharged from active duty within the previous two years, but due to a military service obligation, was precluded from applying for a recent graduate position during any portion of the two-year eligibility period following completion of applicable degree, and not more than six years have transpired since completing the requirements for the degree

GS-07:
Education: One full year of graduate level education OR Bachelor's degree with Superior Academic Achievement. NOTE: You must submit a copy of your transcripts.

GS-09:
One year of specialized experience at the GS-07 grade or equivalent in the federal service.
OR
Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education or LL.B. or J.D. NOTE: You must submit a copy of your transcripts.
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. NOTE: You must submit a copy of your transcripts.

Tax Law Impact for PCS:
On 22-Dec-2017, Public Law 115-97 - the "Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017 suspended qualified moving expense deductions along with the exclusion for employer reimbursements and payments of moving expenses effective 01-Jan-2018 for tax years 2018 through 2025. The law made taxable certain reimbursements and other payments, including driving mileage, airfare and lodging expenses, en-route travel to the new duty station, and temporary storage of those items. The Federal Travel Regulation Bulletin (FTR) 18-05 issued by General Services Administration (GSA) has authorized agencies to use the Withholding Tax Allowance (WTA) and Relocation Income Tax Allowance (RITA) to pay for "substantially all" of the increased tax liability resulting from the "2018 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act" for certain eligible individuals. Further, under paragraph (h) of the rule, agencies are required to verify a qualifying separation from military service prior to appointment, through the DD-214 or other appropriate documentation. Your preference and/or appointment eligibility will be verified prior to appointment. Active duty members that fail to provide a valid "certification" of service with their initial application will be found "not eligible." Military members may be appointed before the effective date of their military retirement/separation if member is on terminal leave.
