Responsibilities

  • Provides technical guidance and direction in the areas of logistics management, transportation, supply issue, hand receipt management, equipment maintenance, government purchase cards (GPC), and property accountability.
  • Provides technical guidance and direction in the areas of logistics automation systems [Defense Property Accountability System (DPAS)], acquisition tracking, commercial industrial-type functions, property accountability and material readiness.
  • Advises the primary hand receipt holders/property custodians in the utilization of DoD (Department of Defense) Property Accountability System.
  • Investigates and analyzes a variety of unusual problems, questions, or conditions about logistical and property accountability programs and operations to include Financial Liability Investigations of Property Loss (FLIPL).
  • Implements policy, program planning, and program execution. Executes and coordinates all logistical activities for the Asset Management Division.
  • Performs all maintenance, supply, transportation, property accountability, and other related logistical activities.
  • Address property accountability and audit readiness requirements within the agency, while partnering with the Army and other DoD entities to ensure adherence to DoD/DISA/Army property book accountability practices, directives, and guidelines.

Qualifications

GS-11
One year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to that of the next lower grade (GS-09) within the federal service, which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position, is required

Specialized Experience is defined at GS-11 as: experience assisting in the following areas of logistics: supply issue and government purchase cards.

GS-12
One year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to that of the next lower grade (GS-11) within the federal service, which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position, is required

Specialized Experience is defined at GS-12 as: experience coordinating logistics for supply issue, equipment maintenance, property accountability, and transportation.

Volunteer Experience: Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Education

SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION FOR SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE for GS-11: A Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M. may be substituted to meet the specialized experience requirement. Such education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work. Equivalent combinations of successfully completed graduate level education and experience may be used to meet total experience requirements.

SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION FOR SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE for GS-12: Education is not substitutable for specialized experience for this grade level.
