The duo's mission was to create a gathering place like those pubs that they knew so well from their home towns in Ireland. Such a place would have authentic Irish interiors, would be welcoming to all and would act as a "social hub" for the local community. In other-words a "Real Irish Local". The first Ri Ra opened in Charlotte, NC in March 1997, and the lads never looked back. Today, with Ciaran and David still at the helm, Buzz Hospitality Inc. has become a successful and growing multi-brand business that has a number of locally focused pubs and restaurants across the United States and Ireland, including Ri Ra Irish Pubs, Keagan's Irish Pub and Taphouse. Buzz Hospitality Inc. provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all team members and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability or genetics. In addition to federal law requirements, Buzz Hospitality Inc. complies with applicable state and local laws governing nondiscrimination in employment in every pub location. This policy applies to all terms and conditions of employment, including recruiting, hiring, placement, promotion, termination, layoff, recall, transfer, leaves of absence, compensation and training.
