Mattress Warehouse is currently seeking a highly motivated and successful multi-unit retail District Sales Manager to assist us in our continuing quest to provide exceptional service to our customers. With nearly 250 store locations and growing, we have been a leader in the Mattress industry for nearly 30 years, and we are USA family owned and operated! The District Manager oversees the sales and operational practices of assigned retail stores making sure each runs smoothly, cleanly, and profitably by meeting all budget and sales goals. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Plan and coordinate business operations in assigned geographic district to achieve financial goals.Perform resource allocation, workload assignment, and schedule management for assigned initiatives.Manage a team of sales professionals on daily basis to meet or exceed company objectives.Identify skill gaps and schedule trainings with team members.Address team concerns and provide direction whenever needed.Ensure that all business operations are done in accordance with company standards.Resolve all customer issues and ensure to provide outstanding customer services.Conduct performance evaluation of team members and provide feedback for improvements.Build strong working relationships and maintain effective communications with team members.Identify business challenges and suggest appropriate action plans.Develop new business strategies for business growth and revenue generation.Build positive working and learning environment for team members.Control expenses and identify revenue opportunities.Assist in employee recruitment, promotion, retention and termination activities.Ensure that teams follow company policies and procedures at all times. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Shift availability to include evenings (til 9 pm), Holidays (Presidents, Memorial, July 4th, Labor Day, Columbus, and Black Friday), and weekends. Assist in fulfilling our mission to provide our customers a relaxed and educational shopping experience. Ability to use the computer system to do basic point of sale transactions and reporting. Ability and willingness to learn and follow our proven selling process. Ability to work alone and take initiative. High energy, enthusiasm, and motivated demeanor required. Team focused and positive collaborative attitude. Other preferred qualifications below: Proven multi-unit retail sales management track record. Prefer experience in retail, customer service, big ticket, or commission sales. Strong presentation, communication, and customer service skills. Enjoy meeting and interacting with customers and understanding their needs. Professional appearance is a must. Education: High School Diploma or GED.
