Seeking an experienced Mammography Technologist for their Women's Health department. Responsible for performing mammography's. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Under general supervision and in consultation with the Radiologist performs mammographic procedures of a routine and difficult nature. Participates in scheduling procedures for the Breast Imaging Center. Also trains and evaluates other technologist in performing mammographic procedures. Analytical ability required to schedule patients with available mammography rooms; calculate and select proper technical factors to ensure proper machine function; determine appropriate patient positioning to achieve specialized examinations. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE High school diploma or general education degree (GED); 3 to 6 Months experience performing mammography Radiology procedures. CPR Required LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS ARRT Mammography certified with current registration. Radiography license by the Maryland Board of Physicians required. CPR certification required. Work requires completion of an AMA approved program in Radiologic Technology or equivalent, which normally is acquired in a two-year college or technical school program. Joe18
