We are seeking a qualified data scientist / science programmer to join our team in College Park MD for an exciting opportunity to work on data analysis and support in a variety of research programs including social sciences and public health.

The Statistical Coordinator will be a vital member of our Scientific and Technical Core working with researchers campus-wide on a variety of projects using R, Stata, SAS, and other languages and tools using data from multiple sources such as the U.S. Census, Time Use, PSID, and confidential data sources.

We are looking for an unmatched team player excited about being part of an ongoing effort to produce the best possible science to guide public policy and inform further research in the areas of Social and Economic Inequality, Gender and Social Change, Health in Social Context, and Migration and Immigrant Processes.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree and four (4) years of experience in an academic teaching, research, or user services environment; OR Master’s degree in statistics, social sciences, information science, computer science or related fields and two (2) years of experience in an academic teaching, research, or user services environment; see the announcement for full details.
