Responsibilities
As a Recruitment & Outreach Intern with HRM Intern, you will:
- Collect, from a variety of sources, demographic data on institutions of higher education, civilian and fed-eral labor forces, and national communities for briefing materials and reports;
- Transcribe meeting notes and/or participant feedback following recruitment and outreach events;
- Create and disseminate post-event e-surveys to participants and compile and analyze results;
- Respond to constituent inquiries verbally or in writing;
- Develop and/or update presentations, fact sheets, one-pagers, brochures, flyers, invitations, agendas, e-blasts, intranet announcements, and Web copy;
- Disseminate materials and resources to OPIC employees and the public, including event participants;
- Perform data entry and manage the OPIC Recruitment & Outreach database/Listserv (Excel) and the
- Recruiter@OPIC.gov mailbox and telephone line;
- Participate in strategic planning and staff meetings and other agency briefings and meetings relevant to the work of HRM and the OPIC Talent Management Officer (TMO);
- Assist the TMO in preparing talking points, executive summaries, reports, correspondence and other ma-terials for senior officials;
- Assist with the development and implementation of podcasts, video recordings, virtual webinars and so-cial media campaigns to promote OPIC jobs and training opportunities and events;
- Assist with all planning and implementation needs for upcoming local and out-of-town events and meetings, including OPIC employee engagement events, which may include collecting/researching back-ground materials, cold-calling Listserv members, cataloging attendees, escorting speakers, senior officials or special guests; compiling printed and collateral materials for shipping to event venues; and more;
- Liaise between OPIC and local and national minority-serving organizations and federal agencies;
- Update the recruitment & outreach calendar as needed, and post upcoming events to Handshake;
- Assist TMO in updating and implementing Department- and position-specific recruitment strategies, including developing plain-language ads and posting to websites, and mining for candidates on LinkedIn Recruiter;
- Maintain office media archives (social and otherwise), which includes searching for any media coverage
- related to OPIC recruitment and outreach events;
- Assist TMO in managing the OPIC Volunteer Recruiting Ambassadors Program (VRAP);
- Provide Facebook and Twitter verbiage as needed

- Must be currently enrolled or have been accepted for enrollment (at least part-time) in an accredited college or university
- Must be suitable for Federal employment, determined by background investigation
- Selective Service registration required for male applicants, unless exempt
Qualifications

- Have knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access)
- Have proficiency in social media platforms, especially Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube and Instagram
- Take the initiative and proactively tackles responsibilities
- Arrive promptly to work and to all meetings
- Fluency in Spanish a plus, but not required
