Your Work Falls into Four Primary Categories:

Trade processing
  • Will be responsible for confirmation of various types of trades in the L&C space
  • Responsible for monitoring L&C trade clearance and settlements throughout the day and will address problems as they arise
  • Will provide ongoing trade support to various trading desks throughout the lifecycle of the trade
  • Leverage team atmosphere for various types of trade processing
  • Will become an expert at multiple different trade and settlement processing systems

Reporting and Reconciliation
  • Will prepare and reconcile daily securities/cash reports
  • Must be able to identify potential settlement discrepancies and negotiate quick resolutions without adverse impact to Freddie Mac
  • Will prepare daily, weekly and monthly reports as it relates to L&C trade activity

New Project Initiatives
  • Participation in various types of system enhancement testing
  • Responsible for various administrative tasks in support of projects, initiatives, and team goals
  • Assist with and learn system testing as is related to trade support and reconciliation

Communication
  • Will communicate with internal business partners such as Accounting and various trading desks
  • Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively within the L&C Operations team
  • Expected to interface with and communicate to Brokers, Dealers, and other external custodial banks
  • Analyst must embody a high degree of professionalism and exhibit this with all communications, written and oral


Qualifications

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related discipline
  • Experience working in a team environment, school or past employment
  • Proficient in Excel and macro skills preferred
  • Effective written and oral communication skills

  • Experience or familiarity around the Federal Reserve banking system
  • Experience with Macros
  • Trade settlement processing knowledge at the Fixed Income Clearing Corp
  • Familiarity with Bloomberg
