Summary
The MIL Corporation seeks a Proposal Writer at our Tysons Corner, VA location.

Responsibilities
  • Draft compliant and persuasive proposal sections in coordination with subject matter experts.
  • Determine proposal concept by identifying and clarifying opportunities and needs; studying requests for proposal (RFPs); attending strategy meetings.
  • Gather proposal information by identifying sources of information; coordinating submissions and collections.
  • Participate in color reviews.
  • Maintain quality results by using templates; following proposal-writing standards including readability, consistency, and tone.
  • Improve proposal-writing results by evaluating and re-designing processes, approach, coordination, and boilerplate; implementing changes.


Required Qualifications
  • In-depth understanding of federal government contracting, business development, and proposal development
  • Demonstrated research and analysis skills
  • Demonstrated organizational skills
  • Highly motivated with the ability to take initiative and provide suggestions for improvement
  • Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work in a team environment
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to promote best practices
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to changing schedules in a fast-paced and demanding environment
  • Detail oriented and able to produce high-quality accurate work in a timely manner
  • High level of proficiency with the following software: MS Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, SharePoint)
