Job Details

Position Summary. The Associate Accountant will be an integral part of the Accounting team focusing on accounts payable and administrative support.

Position Reports to Senior Accounting Manager

Primary Responsibilities
  • Serve as administrator of the 3rd party accounts payable software for Avendra, LLC
  • Maintain the vendor accounts payable files and mail accounts payable checks to vendors
  • Respond to vendor inquiries and research vendor statements
  • File and maintain general ledger journal entry files
  • Run monthly report on unclaimed property and follow-up with vendors
  • Maintain Replenishment sales and use tax business licenses

Secondary Responsibilities
  • Provide overall administrative support to the Accounting department including support for the annual audit and tax return filings
  • Prepare and mail 1099 reports to vendors annually
  • Backup for Senior Accounting Administrator, Accounts Payable

Work Environment. This job operates in an office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Physical Demands. This is largely a sedentary role with some light lifting of files possibly needed.

  • Proficient in accounting software, Excel, and Word
