Responsibilities

  • Serves as an intelligence and language analyst on semi-complex to complex technical analysis and production activities
  • Present ISR semi-complex to complex capabilities to service, national, and coalition customers within defined areas of responsibility
  • Conducts semi-complex to complex analysis of multi-source intelligence
  • Participates in complex and/or manages semi-complex intelligence production
  • Language Proficiency: This is a Language Designated Position (LDP) and requires foreign language proficiency in Russian.
  • Perform the intelligence-related duties assigned. Incumbent must achieve a passing score of 2+/2 on the individual Russian Defense Language Proficiency Test (DLPT)

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Applicants must possess specialized experience at the next lower qualifying pay band or equivalent grade under the General Schedule (GS) or other pay systems. Equivalent experience may be at the level of the lowest GS grade covered by the applicable pay band; however, the experience must demonstrate your ability to apply the knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSA'S) to successfully perform the duties of the position being filled. Examples of creditable specialized experience include: Knowledge of a wide range of intelligence research and collection methods, techniques, and practices to use multi- source intelligence information systems to capture data in order to make recommendations in developing intelligence capabilities and threat assessments

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:

1. Knowledge of a wide range of intelligence research and collection methods, techniques, and practices to use multi-source intelligence information systems to capture data in order to make recommendations in developing intelligence capabilities and threat assessments.

2. Knowledge of reading and writing in the Russian language at a professional level is essential as a primary language skill.

3. Knowledge of advanced analytical principles, concepts, and methods to produce detail analyses of semi-complex to complex information/situations attained from multiple sources, to include database manipulation.

4. Knowledge of the national intelligence community, Joint, DoD structure, organizations, and mission/functions, inter-relationships and operations.

PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.

VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
