Summary

This position is located in the Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP), Division of Policy and Program Development (DPPD). OFCCP enforces, for the benefit of job seekers and wage earners, the contractual promise of affirmative action and equal employment opportunity required of those who do business with the Federal Government. If selected for this position, you will serve the Special Assistant to the Director of the Division.

This position is outside the bargaining unit.

Responsibilities

Major duties for this position include, but are not limited to the following:

Serves as an advisor to the Director and Deputy Director of Policy, concerning compliance and enforcement activities regarding Executive Order 11246, Vietnam Era Veterans' Readjustment Assistance Act (VEVRAA), and the Rehabilitation Act (Section 503)monitor and report on the progress of Division activity.

Supports the Division's policy and regulatory agenda through active participation in the development of policy work products and programs including but not limited to directives, regulations, economic analysis, information collections, monitor and reports on the progress of Division activity.

Participates in conference with other high level officials in various deliberations concerning problems and issues related to affecting OFCCP programs; participates with the director/deputy director in supporting and explaining proposals, requests and issues before Congress.

Drafts and edits detailed written reports, regulatory guidance documents and option papers on policy and resource issues for oral and written presentation to the Division Director, Deputy Director, and other senior level officials.

Qualifications

Applicants must have 52 weeks of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, GS-12, in the Federal Service.

Specialized experience is defined as experience drafting and editing regulatory documents; preparing talking points, memos, letters, and background materials for senior officials; and experience advising and negotiating with stakeholders (e.g. managers, agency officials, customers, employees).

Education

Education cannot be used for substitution at this grade level.
