Job Summary:

Westat seeking a senior Recruiter/HR Generalist to oversee and direct a full life cycle recruiting operation. The role of the senior Recruiter/HR Generalist will include but not be limited to developing recruiting strategies, implementing recruitment guidelines, and driving metrics to ensure requisitions are filled in a timely and cost effective manner.


Job Responsibilities:


· Partner with Senior Leaders and Executives to develop long term staffing strategies.

· Proactively source candidates by being active on social media forums, attend career fairs, visit local college campuses or universities and other creative methods to locate qualified individuals.

· Encourage business leaders to utilize internal recruitment methods to cut down on external recruiting fees and cost.

· Negotiate vendor contracts and develop new vendor relationships.

· Provide insight on industry trends, jobs, salaries, and other Human Resources topics.

· Regularly assess opportunities to make the administration processes more efficient through automation or elimination of non-value-added procedures.

· Manage senior recruitment process.

· Implement and recommend best practices for sourcing and advertising open requisitions.

· Maintain a financial recruitment budget including developing a financial plan and projecting expenditures.

· Develop a college recruiting and internship program.

· Grow and retain a diverse workforce.

· Partner with the Director of Human Resource Services to roll-out additional programs to enhance employee engagement: Rewards and Recognition Programs, Volunteer Program, Community Outreach, etc.


Basic Qualifications:


· A Bachelor's degree, preferably in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related discipline.

· 10+ years of full life cycle recruitment experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

· Knowledge of OFCCP-compliant recruiting.

· 3+ years HR Generalist experience.

· Experience with social media recruiting.

· Experience working in a Federal contractor or professional services environment.

Candidates must be a self-starter with a strong ability to lead, possess excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication, organizational and decision-making skills.
