Responsibilities

As a SUPERVISORY MANAGEMENT ANALYST some of your typical work assignments may include:

- Coordinates the development and implementation of policy, guidelines, and processes required to maintain effective organizational operations, communication and exchange of information.- Continually assesses human resource utilization within Aegis BMD operations.
- Identifies and conducts studies and analyses to determine the future course of activities to improve efficiency by identifying and proposing new organizational structures, realignment of functions and staffing levels.
- Develops resource estimates, and determines resource allocations for the Aegis BMD.
- Makes substantial program contributions and determines if existing programs effectively accomplish intended goals or if modifications are required to meet agency goals and procedures.
- Provides quick-reaction analysis and support.
- Develops issue papers, briefings and other high-level correspondence.
- Establishes, promotes, fosters, and maintains relationships required to provide effective, technical liaison and integration among program functions across organizations within MDA and throughout the Program.
- Serves on various Aegis BMD, MDA and NAVSEA management committees providing management and planning assistance regarding resources, operations, administration support, facilities and IT.

Qualifications

You may qualify at the NH-04 if you fulfill the following qualifications:

One year of specialized experience equivalent to the NH-03/GS-13 grade level in the Federal service:
  • Advanced knowledge of a wide range of HR concepts, practices, laws and policies to provide comprehensive HR management advisory/technical services.
  • Demonstrated experience conducting in-depth analysis of organizational structures and program processes associated with management of complex research and development activities and acquisition programs consisting of multiple federal agencies, departments or organizations.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of infrastructure (resources, operations, facilities, IT) requirements for multi-functional organizations.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Education

Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
