Responsibilities

• Support the Director of Communications, Marketing & Special Events in establishing broad recognition of and attention to Ivymount Programs and activities
• Assist with internal and external communications
• Execute consistent messaging across Ivymount websites, social media, and external communications
• Develop original web/print graphics and adaptations of student artwork for communications and marketing materials (e.g., posters, invitations, brochures, postcards, advertisements, and logos)
• Brainstorm for compelling stories and creative narrations
• Implement social media brand strategies, campaigns, and plans to build Ivymount awareness, including day-to day oversight to ensure brand consistency
• Create, manage, and grow new and existing social networks (e.g., Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, YouTube)
• Update/edit website content as assigned across all Ivymount websites
• Schedule, film, and edit promotional and event recap videos for classes, programs, and events
• Capture photos for special events and daily activities
• Support with special events as assigned
• Work outside of “normal” business hours during peak periods and during special events as required

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree
• Two or more years of experience in communications and marketing
• Experience creating print and web materials using Adobe Creative Suite
• Experience planning, shooting, and editing videos
• Practical experience using a DSLR camera
• Experience managing/editing website content
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills
• Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail
• Ability to work both independently and as a team member
• Ability to consistently meet tight deadlines
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• High comfort level with social media and technology
• Respect for the dignity and potential of all students in a special education environment
• Impeccable confidentiality in dealing with records of students and their families
