HUMAN RIGHTS LAW RESEARCHER LATIN AMERICA
Legal-Paralegal Position: Human Rights Law Researcher Latin America. Company: Alvarez Martinez Law Firm LLC. For the office located in Bethesda, MD. Duties: The Human Rights Law Researcher Latin America will: conduct legal research and analysis of cases concerning violation of human rights in Latin America, in countries with civil law systems, involving the following areas: Constitutional law; Judicial decisions; Criminal law; Criminal procedure; Administrative law; Administrative procedure, Civil Law; and Civil procedure. The Human Rights Law Researcher will also prepare legal petitions and connected documents, and she/he will file them before human rights mechanisms of the United Nations (UN) and of the Organization of American States (OAS). Requirements: A bachelor's degree in law (civil law system). A foreign equivalent degree is acceptable. 12 months of litigation experience before International Human Rights bodies or courts.
