The University of Maryland’s Robert H. Smith School of Business is seeking a well-qualified Program Manager of Recruiting to join the Master’s Programs Office.  One of 13 schools and colleges located on the University  of Maryland, College Park campus, the Smith School is a recognized  leader in management research and education for the global economy. The school is consistently ranked among the world’s top business schools by leading business publications such as Business Week, Financial Times, Economist and the Wall Street Journal.

 

The Recruitment Manager is responsible for supporting the inbound recruiting function for all Smith PT & EMBA programs. The Manager will assist in driving student enrollment into the PT & Executive MBA Program at the Robert H. Smith School of Business. This position will share ownership of pipeline management, yield and matriculation for PT & EMBA programs under the direction of the Senior Director of Working Professionals MBA Recruiting. In this role, the incumbent will manage daily actions of PT

 

& EMBA recruiting processes ensuring an increase in quantity, quality and diversity of prospective EMBA applicants including collaborating with Marketing & Communications to assist with ongoing marketing and social media efforts.

 

Minimum Qualifications: A Bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in communications, marketing, business relations or related area. Minimum of 5 years combined professional experience in higher education, recruitment, admissions, event planning, marketing, sales and/or business development; Strong familiarity with current trends in higher education, MBA/EMBA programs and business education. Demonstrated public speaking ability- Strong interpersonal, collaboration and negotiation skills; demonstrated ability to work under pressure and sustain a high level of professionalism; excellent written and oral skills.  Knowledge of PT &

 

Executive MBA curriculum, including familiarity with other institutions’ courses and programs; strong client service values and a

 

high level of enthusiasm in dealing with internal and external clients. Excellent organizational skills with proven ability to manage multiple tasks, while paying attention to detail; ability to work independently as well as in a team. Excellent follow through and responsiveness

 

Must be a dynamic customer service oriented person who displays mature judgment; proficiency in current word processing, email,

 

spreadsheet and presentation software; proficient in managing  databases and producing statistical reports; willingness and ability to take on duties outside of specific job functions to serve needs of the School.  High level of enthusiasm for the University  and the Smith School; flexibility to work early mornings,  evenings and weekends as required.  Domestic travel is required with potential for

 

international travel; reliable form of transportation for travel to/from client and prospective student meetings. Preferences: Experience

 

utilizing Salesforce CRM and Hobsons application tool.

 

The salary for this position will be low to mid $50’s. The University also offers a comprehensive  benefits package, including 22 Days Annual Leave; 15 Days Sick Leave; 3 Days Personal Leave; 15 Paid Holidays; Tuition Remission; Health, Dental, Vision and Prescription coverage.
