ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: The Human Development Directorate (HD) within NGA is a center of excellence whose people are dedicated to attracting, developing, training, sustaining, and engaging a world-class geospatial-intelligence workforce. We work throughout the agency and beyond to drive leading edge human capital initiatives and play a pivotal role in enabling NGA's customers to achieve their desired outcomes. We are seeking a dynamic pre-deployment Course Manager and Instructor to join us in this exciting work. The classes managed are the GEOINT analysis classes required of all NGA deployers so the successful candidate should have GEOINT deployment experience at a minimum for credibility and relevancy. Course Managers and Instructors lead and teach an area of GEOINT instruction on behalf of our NGA and National System for Geospatial-Intelligence stakeholders. We manage and teach a broad spectrum of GEOINT courses with this particular position focusing on pre-deployment training. The selectee will prepare students with the knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to be successful in a myriad of GEOINT roles based on deployed location and NSG customer needs. Your responsibilities will include teaching NGA College curriculum and mentoring contract instructors in GEOINT analysis supporting deployed operations; communicate effectively with all team, branch, and division members creating clear understanding of instructional goals and learning objectives; teach assigned topics as a subject matter expert through instructional techniques such as guided discussions, lectures, demonstrations, small group exercises, seminars, and workshops; conduct student assessments, provide formal feedback, and maintain student records; manage course logistics including scheduling for the fiscal year, coordinating curriculum maintenance and development milestones, and maintaining course materials and supplies; lead content reviews for curriculum by coordinating updates and changes with subject matter experts, stakeholders, and instructional system designers.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
You must be able to obtain and retain a Top Secret security clearance with access to Sensitive Compartmented Information. In addition, you are subject to a Counterintelligence Polygraph examination in order to maintain access to Top Secret information. All employees are subject to a periodic examination on a random basis in order to determine continued eligibility. Refusal to take the examination may result in denial of access to Top Secret information, SAP, and/or unescorted access to SCIFs.

Employees with SCI access and who are under NGA cognizance are required to submit a Security Financial Disclosure Report, SF-714, on an annual basis in order to determine continued eligibility. Failure to comply may negatively impact continued access to Top Secret information, Information Systems, SAP, and/or unescorted access to SCIFs.

NGA utilizes all processes and procedures of the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Non-executive NGA employees are assigned to five distinct pay bands based on the type and scope of work performed. The employee's base salary is established within their assigned pay band based on their unique qualifications. A performance pay process is conducted each year to determine a potential base pay salary increase and/or bonus. An employee's annual performance evaluation is a key factor in the performance pay process. Employees on term or temporary appointments are not eligible to apply for internal assignment opportunity notices.

This position is a DCIPS position in the Excepted Service under 10 U.S.C. 1601. DoD Components with DCIPS positions apply Veterans' Preference to preference eligible candidates as defined by Section 2108 of Title 5 USC, in accordance with the procedures provided in DoD Instruction 1400.25, Volume 2005, DCIPS Employment and Placement. Qualifications

MANDATORY QUALIFICATION CRITERIA: For this particular job, applicants must meet all competencies reflected under the Mandatory Qualification Criteria to include education (if required). Online resumes must demonstrate qualification by providing specific examples and associated results, in response to the announcement's mandatory criteria specified in this vacancy announcement:

1. Demonstrated experience providing Geospatial Intelligence (GEOINT) products and services while deployed at mission partner locations. 2. Demonstrated knowledge providing GEOINT products and services and training to analysts at all experience levels. 3. Documented knowledge of GEOINT software/tools such as ArcGIS, RemoteView, QT Modeler, and SocetGXP. 4. Demonstrated ability managing a project and analyzing data in order to recommend innovative solutions. 5. Demonstrated experience establishing relationships with internal and external customers while meeting their requirements. 6. Demonstrated ability facilitating courses, managing duties, and classroom instruction applications.

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATION CRITERIA: In addition to the mandatory qualifications, experience in the following is desired:

1. Demonstrated experience in leading a team of instructors. 2. Demonstrated ability to convey consequence and relevance to GEOINT missions. 3. Demonstrated leadership and community engagement with GEOINT stakeholders, subject matter experts, and integrated teams both internal and external to an organization.
