Supporting the Most Exciting and Meaningful Missions in the WorldSr. Accountant - Financial ReportingThe Financial Reporting Senior Accountant is responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely preparation of the Company's external filings and provides support for moderately complex accounting functions. Responsible for moderately complex accounting month-end, quarter-end and year-end activities in accordance with US generally acceptable accounting principles (GAAP).Prepare the consolidated monthly financial statementsSupport the quarterly reviews and annual audit of consolidated financial statements by external auditorsAssist with external bank reporting requirementsSupport annual goodwill impairment evaluationSupport purchase accounting of future M&A activitiesWork closely with other members of the Finance organization and tax department as neededMaintain financial consolidation and close toolResponsible for the preparation of support files for all financial reporting workpapersResearch emerging accounting pronouncements and SEC standards to analyze relevance to the Company's financial statements.Prepare quarterly and annual GAAP financial statement disclosure checklistSupport the development and maintenance of technical accounting policy and position memosProvide technical accounting and support to team membersOther ad hoc projects as requiredQualificationsEducation/CertificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent experienceCertified Public Accountant license is required (Note: individuals seeking a CPA license also encouraged to apply)ExperienceMinimum 3-5 years of public accounting and corporate accountingExperience within the government contracting industry is preferredAdvanced level of proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)Experience with Hyperion or TM1 is a benefitExperience with Costpoint preferredKnowledge/Skills/OtherMust be a US citizenStrong analytical skills, including the ability to recognize and research irregularities and inconsistenciesMotivated, self-directed and detail-oriented; also takes ownership of assigned tasksEffective in a dynamic environment, adapting to and managing change in a positive and proactive mannerStrong communication, documentation and organizational skills with close attention to detail, including neatness and organization of workpapersAbility to manage multiple priorities with accuracy and efficiency while meeting deadlinesPAE is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
