Responsibilities/Qualification Duties and Responsibilities: Provides lead technical support in the areas of analysis, verification, measurement support, and equipment characteristics. Functions independently or as part of a project team to provide assistance in all phases of engineering-related projects. Contribute to the collection, review, and processing of accurate maintenance and support of maintenance actions for military aircraft. Interface with systems engineers, crew leads, and maintenance personnel. Review and provide input to QDRs and TDPRs. Observe tests and evaluations of aircraft and aircraft systems, equipment and components. Support the building of cable assemblies. Perform bench-level work to build up instrument panels, junction boxes, console panels, and other electromechanical assemblies. Replace components of Circuit Card Assemblies. Coordinate manufacturing, construction, installation, maintenance, support, documentation, and quality assurance testing activities to ensure compliance with specifications, codes, and customer requirements. Inspect completed installations and observe operations to ensure conformance to design and equipment specifications and compliance with operational and safety standards. Plan and implement research methodology and procedures to apply principles of electrical theory to engineering projects. Supervise and train project team members as necessary. Perform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent plus any combination of work experience or college education equivalent to 10 years. In some cases, educational requirements may be adjusted or waived for comparable work experience. Work experience may be adjusted for highly specialized knowledge or uniquely applicable experience for positions involving new technology or labor market shortages as reflected by market survey data. Experience in military tooling and drawings, system schematics, and soldering. Experience working with high and low voltage projects. Working knowledge of Aerospace Standard (AS50881). Working knowledge of NAVAIR 01-1A-505. Working Knowledge of NAVAIR 01-1A-23. Certification for Cable Fabrication (IPC-JSTD 001) is desired. Working knowledge of NALCOMIS-OOMA is desired.
