Marketing and Content Manager The role of the Marketing and Content Manager is to ensure continuity and relevance of the overall marketing messages on various platforms utilized to generate awareness and overnight visitation to Loudoun County. These platforms include but are not limited to print and digital outlets. Key Performance Measures and Accountabilities Develop, write and manage digital content and print marketing Engage the Loudoun County tourism industry for promotional and marketing opportunities Explore new opportunities to market the destination through leisure business and events Key Responsibilities Manages marketing projects, brand integration and production of marketing collateral Manages SEO/SEM, Google Analytics and Facebook campaign measurement Coordinates with other departments/staff to integrate all market segment content across marketing channels Manages the distribution of content across print and digital channels including travel related websites Manages Visit Loudoun websites: maintains and develops content generation, copy writing, optimization and measurement Assists in management of content migration for both online and print initiatives Works with other marketing and communications team members to solicit and share user-generated content across channels Build and engage a developing consumer database. Develops compelling creative for print and digital marketing initiatives Ensures consistency of brand visuals, voice and tone across all platforms Manages in-house production and serves as day-to-day contact for creative and digital vendors/agencies Manages digital contests/sweepstakes Assists in researching and analysis of completive digital activity, conducts surveys to better understand audience needs and generates concepts to improve the user experience Assists in researching and identifying relevant new technologies and digital marketing strategies to improve Visit Loudoun marketing efforts Creates and manages reporting to analyze and improve digital performance Works with partners on promotions and events and serves as Visit Loudoun liaison to historic product organizations. Essential Work Experience Four-year degree preferred or minimum five years hospitality experience with two years at a DMO Experience in managing marketing projects, producing marketing collateral and website content Experience with SEO, Google Analytics and Facebook for Business Exceptional writing skills Brand selling experience to understand how to promote a brand, not just a product, to a wide range of clients and customers Website management Content development and measurement Experience shooting and editing video Key Skills and Knowledge Knowledge of both the customer needs and local tourism industry expectations to align customer needs to industry offerings Excellent social and professional skills Effective communicator and listener Creative marketing professional Good organizational skills to keep track of multiple projects High self-motivation A deep passion for promoting Loudoun County and its offerings Ability to travel Able to stay on top of current events both within Loudoun County and among the industry Able to maintain a pulse on latest trends within local tourism industry Ability to meet deadlines Robust competitor knowledge Strict attention to detail An open minded person, outgoing and personable
