ROLE DESCRIPTION:The Mobility Engineer provides direction to a team of engineers to stand up and manage the mobility environment including the tools and processes used for evaluating mobile technology capabilities. Responsibilities will include the development and support of the mobile technology road-map necessary to produce a secure mobile experience and protect critical assets from threats in the mobile ecosystem by applying expertise in technology and mobile security architecture. In addition to design and build, collaborate with partners in integration and conduct end-to-end system testing, encompassing infrastructure, applications, end point devices and operation requirements. The mobile infrastructure must securely support approximately 300,000 mobile devices. This individual works to ensure the mobile infrastructure securely supports and scales for 2020 Decennial.This individual will work with mobile, cloud, infrastructure and performance Subject Matter Experts to ensure that the mobile infrastructure supports 300,000 heads-down mobile users for the 2020 Decennial.RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: Implement and support Decennial 2020 Mobile Infrastructure, including building out application servers, integrate with other system/network/security monitoring applications and systems, such as Splunk, Tanium and Cylance.Be knowledgeable of window authentication mechanism, such as Active Directory and implementationWork with network engineers to implement network access with proper security, load-balancing and DRBuild, manage and support device end-points that are managed by VMWare WS1 solution.Support dDaaS to insure that any GFE OS platforms are supported. This include iOS and Windows 10 devices. Familiarity of Microsoft Windows 10 operating system, and build process is a must.Build device OS image for updates and deploymentDefine the proper controls and mechanisms required for a successful mobile deploymentTroubleshooting and supporting mobile devices managed by an expansive mobile device management (MDM) system, including mobile configuration management, remote device control, auditing, critical file backup, wiping, data synchronization, firmware updates, diagnostics, security, network usage, mobile asset tracking and management, device provisioning, software installation, policy application, logging, and reporting, GPS tracking and breadcrumb mapping, and geofencing.Maintains knowledge and understanding of current and emerging technologies, equipment and systems. Keeps current on laws, mandates, issues, practices and procedures.Participate and support projects related tasks, from vendor selection, acquisition, development and installation of IT systems for the enterprise. Determines operational, technical, tactical, and support requirements; formulates logic; and devises optimum solutions.Reviews and provides input to policies and standard operating procedures; monitors and evaluates program effectiveness and effects changes required for continuous improvement of IT systems.Document design and solutions, build job aid and knowledge based articles.Facilitates customer-focused interaction to ensure objectives are realized and expectations are properly managed. Coordinates activities and programs with other departments to improve service performance.Performs other related duties as assigned. REQUIRED SKILLSAt least 10 years of broad ranged infrastructure, network and operation systems engineering experienceAt least 7 years of experience supporting mobile system architecturesAt least 5 years of experience in system integrationAt least 3 years; experience in supporting AirWatch (WS1) MDM solution.BS in Computer Science, or related engineering disciplineExperience working as a contractor for the governmentExperience with mobile threat modeling, mobile security testing or mobile security mitigation strategiesExperience in standing up an expansive mobile device management (MDM) system, including mobile configuration management, remote device control, auditing, critical file backup, wiping, data synchronization, firmware updates, diagnostics, security, network usage, mobile asset tracking and management, device provisioning, software installation, policy application, logging, and reporting, GPS tracking and breadcrumb mapping, and geofencing.Experience working with application development teamsExpertise in object oriented design and system architecture for mobile devices and wireless systemsExcellent judgment, organizational, and problem solving skillsExceptional interpersonal communication skills, verbal and writtenStrong sense of ownership and driveAbility to obtain and maintain a Full Background Investigation Security ClearanceExperience in IT with major focus on mobile infrastructure and deployment.Knowledge deployment strategies for Mobile Device Management platformsKnowledge deploying and supporting Windows 10 based devices, including image build, updates and patchesKnowledge of Windows security models and their implementation, eg Single Sign on, multi-factor authentication, OATH and more,Must have advanced level knowledge of the design, practices and procedures of deploying and maintaining large System of Systems.Demonstrated understanding of IT management, administration, applications and system development lifecycles within a substantial IT environment.Experience in tactical planning, managing IT initiatives and managing in-house technical resources and contracted services.Relevant knowledge of current and emerging technologies.Proficient in organizational change management.Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of personnel, elected officials, executive leadership, senior management, users, vendors and subcontractor personnel.Ability to consistently meet and exceed expectations and incorporate customer service into all aspects of work.Proven judgment and problem solving skills.Demonstrated planning and development skills including budget administration and project implementation.Effective management skills including demonstrated ability to successfully direct a staff of highly skilled technology professionals.Solid time management skills with the ability to plan, organize and implement multiple initiatives and deadline-driven workloads while consistently providing outstanding customer service.Detail-oriented, proactive self-starter demonstrating a positive, willing attitude and excellent oral and written communication skills.Proficient in an agile working environment and able to pilot a steady course forward amid change.Experis is an Equal Opportunity Employer (EOE/AA)
