Experienced Government relations professional with solid Hill experience as a legislative Assistant, Legislative Aide or Scheduler to support a former Senator who has moved to the private sector. Direct Hire role with a DC based firm offering a fantastic benefits and compensation package. Core Functions Scheduling appointments, speaking engagements, and events Plan and schedule legislative and agency meetings Event Coordination of political fundraisers and other events Respond to priorities when Senator is traveling or otherwise unavailable Manage the influx of all correspondence, both electronic and paper Conduct research regarding current legislative policies Attend hearings Coordinate travel arrangements Administrative duties such as preparing memos and correspondence, answering telephone, and creating and maintaining files Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree or above with strong academic performance At least 2 years of Hill or Congressional Office experience Familiarity with Congressional protocol and committees of the House and Senate-Required Strong time management skills with the ability to multi-task in a dynamic and fast paced environment Strong planning and organizational ability Advanced proficiency in MS Office Applications
