The Senior Staff Consultant will provide accounting and financial statement expertise to support client audit readiness program activities. Review financial reporting processes and procedures. . Assist with the development and implementation of corrective action plans. Assist in preparing financial reports and schedules. Provide strategic ideas and solutions to tasks identified and issues that arise. Job Duties include, but are not limited to the following: Provide audit readiness support.Review and analyze accounting detail transactions for accuracy.Monitor the posting, review, validation, and reconciliation of accounting data with source documents and/or feeder systems.Analyze and evaluate accounting and financial policies, systems, and proposed changes.Provide strategic ideas and solutions to tasks identified and issues that arise.Bachelor's Degree in accounting, business management or related field.4 years or more of accounting and/or audit experience including supervising and directing staff financial statement audits.Experience preparing audit assertion packages.MUST BE A US CITIZEN with an Interim Secret Security Clearance (or higher) or possess the ability and intention of obtaining a Secret Clearance.Must have 20 hours of continuing professional education and training this year and 120 hours of continuing professional education and training over a three-year rolling period.1 year of Federal or DOD audit experience is a plus.CPA, CIA, CDFM, or CGFM certification is a plus.Desired Skills: GAAP / GAGAS / ICOFR experience.OMB Circulars A-123, A-127, A-134, A-136 and other OMB policies.FASAB, SSAC, and SFFAS experience.DoD and Air Force financial management policies and procedures.Air Force policies, systems and procedures for personnel, acquisition, inventory, property, and material management.Familiarity with Job Order Cost Accounting (JOCAS) and Foreign Military Sales (FMS).Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).Problem-solving ability.Compensation Package: Competitive SalaryPaid Time Off401K MatchHealth Insurance package available
