Duties will include: Serve as Voice and Video SME in a product management groupProvide technical expertise as it relates to voice and video offerings and solutionsTroubleshoot and install VTC, including all Polycom devices.Troubleshoot and install phones, including all secure and unclassified devices.Troubleshoot and install SKYPE products, including dedicated hardware endpoints and PC accessories (headsets/webcams)Write standard operating procedures (SOPs) and technical reference documents.Draft slide decks and conduct briefings. Active TS/SCI with Poly level clearance requiredTypically requires an Associate degree in a computer field and seven (7) years of related experience. Progressive relevant training and/or certification may be substituted for a portion of the experience requirement. Must be able to interface with individuals at all levels of the organization both verbally and in writingProficiency in the use of MS Office product suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, SharePoint)Must be able to read and create network, voice and video drawings and schematicsMust pay attention to detail and remain alert at all times.Prior experience with running, terminating and troubleshooting Cat5, Cat6, Fiber, RGB, RG6, BnC, DTP, MHR, Grid runs.Prior experience with the install, troubleshooting and/or the de-installation of a Custom VTC and or DVTC packages.Prior experience with the installation and maintenance of telephony equipment including VOIP, digital and ISDN.Expansive knowledge of AVAYA phone systems and offerings as well as enterprise support.Expansive knowledge of POLYCOM and other VTC offerings.Must be able to maintain regular, reliable attendance and ensure on time daily arrivalPreferred qualifications include:Advanced knowledge of the customer and the inner workings of the organization.Installation level knowledge of workstations to include laptops and high-end workstations (desktop equipment and interconnects).Installation level knowledge of network and local printers, to include plottersExperience with TEMPEST products and requirementsExperience with assistive technologies (eg screen readers, braille embossers/displays, video phones)Knowledge of Microsoft Visio for floor plan creation and overview drawings or the use of said drawings for the purpose of basic or advanced VTC installations.Use of or Experience with WireCAD, AutoCAD or similar for detailed line drawings for custom VTC installations, networking documentation and telephony systems documentation and designEssential Functions:Physical Requirements:Employees may experience extended periods of standing, walking, climbing, bending, crouching, and lifting light to very heavy objects and equipment. Use of ladders or scaffolding may be required with the use of required safety equipment. Employees may be exposed to potential health hazards. Lifting heavy and custom video equipment ranging from televisions, projectors and racks will be a constant. Work Environment:Depending on assignment, the work environment varies from an office environment to working in an environment that may (rarely) include the exposure to drafts, noise, dust, grease, dirt, and standing water as well as temperature extremes and inclement weather. General Office environment:The work environment is fast-paced and sometimes involves extreme deadline pressures. The nature of the work requires a high degree of teamwork and cooperation with other members of the staff as well as individuals across the Company and Customers. Attendance:Attendance is critical at all times. Must be able to work a 40-hour workweek, normally Monday through Friday. However, times and days may vary depending on business requirements. Needs to be available to work overtime during critical peaks and be available to meet last minute requests for overtime should the situation occur.Customer and Personal Service:Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction. The candidate should possess general business knowledge and soft-skills allowing them to be adaptable in a wide array of work environments.
