As Staff Accountant, your duties will include preparing monthly and year-end closings, journal entries, fixed asset maintenance, bank reconciliation, and general ledger reconciliation. This position will require a fair amount of time dedicated to producing Financial Statements, Cash Flow projections, and Budgets. And during the monthly close, your responsibilities will also cover various aspects of internal reporting. In addition, your responsibilities include communicating with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, playing an active role in compliance, and reviewing schedules for the reporting processes. Major responsibilities - Participate in various initiatives spanning multiple departments - Perform month end close, journal entries with minimum supervision - Keep up fixed asset ledger, depreciation, and reconciliation - Commentate on a wide variety of financial data and communicate it in a useful and understandable manner - Aid in implementation, maintenance and adherence to internal controls and accounting procedures ensuring compliance with GAAP - Assist in monthly financial close workbook preparation, including annual closing process - Maintain intricate journal entries and account reconciliations including but not limited to cash, prepaid expenses and payroll - Prepare monthly balance sheet and income statement analyses for management reporting - Organize capital lease and monthly payment schedules - Ad-hoc reporting and special projects, as requested- Self-driven motivator who takes initiative on projects with a strong ability to understand and solve creative challenges - BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics - Strong attention to detail - Microsoft Great Plains Accounting experience desired - Spreadsheet and database capabilities - Ability to work well in matrix organization and dealing with ambiguity - Skillful in analytical, quantitative and social skills - Proficient with spreadsheets and databases - Ability to prioritize work and balance multiple projects and deadlines - ERP system experience - Fully formed organizational, written and verbal communication skills - Recent and relevant accounting experience If you are interested, email your resume to [Click Here to Email Your Resume]Accountemps matches highly skilled professionals with accounting finance jobs at the best companies on a temporary and temporary-to-hire basis.
