All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, protected veteran status, or disability status.ResponsibilitiesAssist in determining and documenting the Company's accounting policies and position on relevant transactions.Must be able to work collaboratively with the operational accounting team and business functions.Serve as lead for M&A accounting, including purchase accounting and other integration related activities such as financial statements with footnotes, equity reconciliations, push down accounting from legal entities.Provide support to the accounting close process, including preparation of US GAAP financial statements.Act as a resource for determining proper revenue recognition for complex and/or non-standard contracts.Review the impact of new or proposed accounting standards, interpretations or regulations. Research technical accounting matters and prepare technical accounting memos and whitepapers. Assist with external audits, including disclosures on technical accounting topics by assessing various technical accounting measures.Coordinate with external auditor on technical accounting issues.Advise senior leadership on compliance matters and pronouncement implementations.Provide periodic technical accounting trainings to the members of the accounting team, as needed.QualificationsMinimum four years of progressive professional experience with public accounting and/or government contractor experience preferred.Big 4 experience (Preferred)CPA (Preferred)Experience with technical accounting, research and reporting from accounting systems. Strong Excel skills.Accounting degree. ASC 606 and ASC 842 knowledge.Demonstrated GAAP skills.Excellent communication skills.One must have good written communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, analytical, mathematical, and organizational skills. Ability to follow directions is a must. Applicants must be able to work well alone and as part of a team. A Security Clearance or the ability to obtain one will be required. US Citizenship required.
