Main tasks and responsibilities:* Executing laboratory experiments in accordance with plans and standards* Assist in filtration membrane research development* Preparation of necessary raw materials in laboratory processes eg buffers, solvents, media, casting solutions, etc.* Consistently perform measurements of (including samples preparation): Viscosity, Uv-Vis, HPLC, Membrane flux, rejection, etc.* Data entry, analysis and reporting of technical progress and results* Maintain inventory of consumable items including reagents and supplies. Unpacks, logs, dates and stores reagents* Focus on details and efficiency in the laboratory, while exercising good laboratory practice.* Participate in the general upkeep and maintenance of the laboratory and equipment* Demonstrate initiative in making suggestions to improve efficiency and productivity* Project deliverables accountability, status updates and other relevant communication to the manager. The qualified candidate must have:*B.S degree in chemistry with minimum 3 years R&D research lab experience * Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, work short cycle times and flexible hours if required, and deliver results under pressure* Ability to work independently and maintain a high level of quality in work* General interest in quality control and assurance* US work permitPreferred Skills and Experience:* Knowledge and experience with membranes and polymeric membrane casting* Experience with one or more of the following laboratory instruments: HPLC, UV-vis, Viscometer, etc* Experience with wet chemistry* Proficiency with Microsoft Office* A natural curiosity and interest in new technology and ground-breaking scientific developmentsAbout Aerotek:We know that a company's success starts with its employees.
