If interested, please respond with your most up to date resume to [Click Here to Email Your Resume] Position: Windows Systems Administrator Location: Arlington, VA Duration: Contract to Perm Clearance: Candidates must be US citizens and able to obtain and/or maintain a Department of Defense Secret or Top Secret security clearance as a condition of employment Job Description: The Active Directory System Administrator is responsible for the daily operation of a large Active Directory (AD) Enterprise government agency supporting Active Directory Windows 2012 R2 and 2016 servers. This position resolves hardware and technical problems, answers queries by telephone or self-service ticket in support of internal and/or outside customer computer hardware, software, network, system/application access, and telecommunications systems. Diagnoses, identifies, isolates, and analyzes problems utilizing historical database records. Maintains and updates records and tracking databases. Alerts management to recurring problems and patterns of problems. The Active Directory System Administrator: Must have a strong knowledge in systems administration of a large scale Enterprise Microsoft Windows environment and the operation of a multi forest environment. Must possess a strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows 2012 and 2016 Active Director Info structure. Should be able to perform active directory administration in the following areas of DNS (Domain Name System), DFSR (Distributed File System Replication), GPO (Group Policy), OCSP (Online Certificate Status Protocol), Active Client CAC authentication, ACAS (Assured Compliance Assessment Solution) DoD software security assessment tool trouble shoot replication issues, Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP) recovery deleted user accounts or OU (organization Unit) structure. Responsible for the daily security of AD and responsible for implementing security patches and Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG) implementation. Responsible for preventive and remedial maintenance, coordinate equipment repair, replace or removal failed hardware. Should have some knowledge of PowerShell and Meta Directory technologies. Should be able to trouble shoot issues regarding Active Directory including replication with in the forest, domain, and sites. Should be able to trouble shoot issues. Should be able to work in an enterprise AD network environment organized and detail oriented, skilled in both oral and written communication. Should have a strong background in GOP creation and troubleshooting, along with experience in PowerShell script creation and trouble shooting. Qualifications: Must have 5 years of Active Directory experience DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level I Information Assurance Certification such as CompTIA A+ Must have a Microsoft certification for Windows 2012 R2 or Windows 2016 would be a plus DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: ITIL Foundation Certification GPO skills and AD troubleshooting skills preferred Schedule: Work Schedule: 11:00am to 7:00pm (M - F) - second shift.
