(W2) Description: Candidate will serve as a System Center Engineer SME in support of the DHS IT infrastructure System Center environment. The System Center Engineer will be responsible for engineering, implementing and administering the System Center environment. The candidate will focus primarily on the System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) solution. Additionally, this position will also be responsible to support other System Center systems specifically SC Operations Manager (SCOM) and SC Orchestrator. As part of this position it is expected that the individual will be responsible to perform the following: Review/modify/create/finalize design documents, plans, and configurations Submit Change Requests for approvals, test, and complete implementation/deployments. Monitor, tune performance, and complete all documentation (configuration guide, standard operating procedures, work instructions, etc) Train existing technical staff on SCCM operations and maintenance including rebuild and patching Document lessons learned, complete project closeout, and official transition to operations and maintenance support Provide daily status on project efforts Duties: Will have the ability to engineer and administer OSD solutions Will have the ability to engineer and administer Package/Application deployment process and solutions Will have the ability to engineer and administer MS and non-MS patch deployment solutions Will have the ability to engineer and administer Baseline Compliance solutions Will have the ability to provide or develop reports as needed to the customer Gather SCCM customer requirements to determine best solution for customer Draft documentation such as diagrams, SOPs, and configuration guides. Provide training to current staff on Microsoft System Center Troubleshoot as the SME on all issues related to SCCM and System Center The System Center Engineer will work with other non SCCM tools. These toolsets will have other SMEs, but it is expected the have familiarity and will be performing the following additional duties: Will have the ability to engineer and administer the integration of SCCM and SCOM data with SCSM CMDB Should have the ability to engineer and administer Orchestrator and create Orchestrator Runbooks Should have the ability to engineer and administer SCSM and integrate with SC Orchestrator Should have the ability to assist with engineering and administering SCOM solutions Have the ability to implement additional features and components of System Center (for example, SCSM, Orchestrator, etc.) later Desired Qualifications: BS or equivalent + 9 yrs related experience, or MS + 7 yrs related experience 5+ years of SCCM development and implementation experience Contract requires US Citizenship and an interim Secret clearance.
