The PositionThe Estimator role at RPS has a direct impact on our ability to provide quality proposals, competitive pricing and exceptional work. We seek an individual who demonstrates knowledge, responsibility, commitment and leadership. This role primarily includes the estimating of stormwater related construction projects and management of project associates. Travel requirements will vary within the Virginia, Maryland, and Delaware area. ResponsibilitiesDevelop project specific estimates utilizing subcontractors and vendor pricing, historical cost data and industry cost data sourcesUnderstand construction means, methods and sequencesBuild and maintain positive relationships with clients, subcontractors, vendors and engineersComplete detail quantity take-offs by conventional meansDevelop project specific scopes of workMeet and exceed bid deadlinesManage RFP requestsReview and analyze plans and schematics to prepare cost estimatesAssist in permitting for projectsAble to work in a team environment and take the lead role on projectsCapacity to work well under pressure and deliver accurate information in a timely manner QualificationsMinimum 5 years experience estimating and project management in the construction industry (stormwater construction experience is a plus)Responsible, highly organized and self-motivatedWorking knowledge of stormwater control measuresExcellent verbal and written communication skillsProficient in Microsoft OfficeValid driver's licenseMust pass background and drug test Salary will be competitive and commensurate with experience.
