Bully Pulpit Interactive (BPI) is seeking a full time Associate Director to join our Media Planning team in Washington DC.In this position, you'll be responsible for media planning, campaign management/optimization and team management on a broad range of corporate, advocacy and political accounts. You'll work closely with the team's Media Director, manage a team of Media Planners and coordinate across Client Services, Media Buying, Analytics, and Ad Operations teams to to plan and execute overall campaign strategy.BPI is a digitally-based marketing and communications agency that wins hearts and changes minds for companies and causes. A growing agency with offices in Washington, DC, New York, Chicago and San Francisco, BPI works alongside our clients to bring integrated communications and advertising campaigns to companies and organizations - from strategy to message to media relations to marketing.In this position you will be expected to Strategic Capabilities Develop plans which align with client/campaign objectives and work closely with Client/Account Leads and Media Team leadership to ensure media plans deliver upon the agreed strategies and approach Lead on campaign implementation/management in regards to buying, negotiating, implementation, optimization, and analysis Use internal data sources as well as past performance to develop insights and strategy for future efforts Work with internal analytical team to gauge media performance and KPI's to determine the extent to which the original objectives and strategies were met Work closely with Ad Operations to traffic, launch, and trouble shoot implementation issues Be the day-to-day contact for media vendors and trouble shoot any issues Conduct media, industry or company research to allow the agency to develop accurate and strategic advertising and marketing plans Articulates departmental view on media strategy tactics and execution Fosters good working relationship across all client teams to facilitate flawless execution of plans Client Team/Client Services Present plan recommendations to clients with support from Client/Account Leads or Media Team leadership Assumes ownership on requests and works with client/account team to prioritize and delegate appropriately plan changes, budget changes, campaign flighting, and marketplace information Establish specifications and timelines needed for campaign launch and work across teams to ensure a successful execution Proactively keep abreast of industry trends and share knowledge with team and cross-teams Supervisory Supervise media planners, focusing on development, training and quality of work while also serving as a role model/mentor Support the Media Director in all operational needs and management of the team Develop, mentor and train fellows (interns) and serve as a positive role model for them Lead weekly internal media team meeting and monthly internal cross-team meetings Conduct regular one-on-one check-ins with junior members of the media team Improve upon/develop new processes to streamline communication and flawless implementation of plans RequirementsWe're looking for someone who is/has Passionate about the intersection of media, technology, creative, and have demonstrated experience (8+ years) with planning and buying cross-channel media - including digital, OOH, TV, print, mobile, SEM, and paid social In-depth understanding of media planning, strategy, negotiation, implementation and performance analysis Thrives in fast paced environment with ability to manage multiple projects while prioritizing workload for themselves and direct reports Thrives in a collaborative environment and is a problem solver Working knowledge of planning tools (Datorama, MRI, comScore, eMarketer, Google Marketing Platform- Campaign Manager, DV 360 ) Microsoft Office Software (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.) At least 2+ years of management experience required Benefits 100% employer paid healthcare, vision & dental 401(k) with employer match of 4% 12 days PTO (increases annually) + 3 flex days 12 weeks of paid maternity/paternity leave Monthly phone reimbursementBully Pulpit Interactive provides equal employment opportunities to all qualified applicants for employment regardless of gender identity, race, color, religion, ancestry, national origin, age, disability, marital status, family responsibilities, sexual orientation, veteran status, citizenship status, matriculation, personal appearance, genetic information or other protected group status.
