Director - Institute of International Economic Law
Georgetown Law's Institute of International Economic Law seeks a full-time Director. The Director will strategize with Georgetown law faculty, students, alumni and global stakeholders of alumni, lawyers and policymakers, to execute the lnstitute's world class programming in international trade, international tax, fintech and monetary affairs.
The Director's duties include but are not limited to:
- Coordinate with university staff involving Centers & Institutes, global/transnational and advancement activities to plan, promote and execute significant & substantive IIEL programs on campus and abroad.
- Effectuate IIEL conferences, colloquia and special events, and external (including social media) relations and assists in advancement efforts and student-centered fellowship and certificate programs.
- Support the mission of the Institute by assisting with managing and executing large work streams, projects and events for the organization.
- Represent IIEL at conferences and meetings and assisting in the execution of the IIEL's colloquium.
- Work with internal staff to bring IIEL programs to targeted external audiences and building communities around our areas of focus to move from ideas to implementation.
Qualifications:
- J.D., Masters in International Relations or closely related field required.
- 5-7 years of administrative experience.
- Experience with project administration, event and travel planning.
- Ability and flexibility to work mornings and evenings as needed for events. An understanding of financial records and budgets.
- Demonstrable leadership and high character and values.
- Experience in Academics and Higher Education preferred.
