Disbursements Assistant I/II Posted Date:May 23, 2019 Job Category:Staff Department:Disbursements - HDIS Position Status:Full-Time Staff Salary Range:$35,279-$48,714 Position Summary:The Disbursements Assistant I/II is responsible for all payroll and accounts payable disbursements regulatory compliance and communication and coordinating disbursement related accounting policies, practices, and procedures with internal and external customers. Job Duties and Responsibilities: Payment verification:Verify, validate, and ensure accuracy, completeness, and policy compliance of all payment data and supporting documentation before entering into the system for processing. Reconcile/review procurement card expenses for policy compliance.Research and reconcile discrepancies.Payment processing:Assist with the processing of all disbursement payments. Prepare, reconcile and maintain associated control reports.Consultation and analysis:Respond to disbursement related questions while providing excellent customer service.Reporting:Assist in the preparation and distribution of internal and external reporting, including but not limited to, W2 and 1099 tax forms.Other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications:A high school diploma or GEDMinimum of three (3) years of relevant experience in disbursements or accounting.Working knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office Suite software.Strong time management and problem solving skills, and the ability to work under pressure with attention to details.Excellent customer service skills.Excellent oral and written communication skillsDemonstrates the ability to maintain confidentiality.Preferred Qualifications:Associates degree in Accounting or other Business related discipline.Certification in Disbursements field (FCP, CPP)Hours Per Week:40 Work Schedule:Daily, Monday - Friday and an occasional Saturday as arranged For full position descriptions, required qualifications and to apply, please visit our web site at www.aacc.edu/employment and click on Career Opportunities.
