If this sounds like the work environment for you, we encourage you to apply.Design analog and digital hardware solutions for our trapped ion quantum computer control systems. Provide technical leadership in the development of high performance board and system level assemblies - from concept to production. Perform top level requirements definition, system specification, block and component level design and analysis.ResponsibilitiesContribute to the design of the top-level control system architectureLead the development of electronics for driving piezoelectric actuators, DC servo motors, and stepper motors for position controlDesign low noise power supplies for low voltage (200V)Simulation and modelling of analog and digital control electronicsDesign schematics, board layouts, generate drawings, BOMs, and documentationWrite test plans and procedures. Test and troubleshoot analog and digital electronics. Required Skills/EducationBS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related discipline>10 years of experience with electronics design for control applicationsExtensive experience with motion control DSP-based electronics and PID control.Detailed knowledge of circuit board design, fabrication, and assembly processesSchematic capture with Altium Designer (preferred), OrCAD, or AllegroDetailed knowledge of circuit simulation and modeling toolsProficient with complex laboratory test equipment and measurement techniquesFamiliarity with opto-mechanical systemsUnderstanding of EMI, EMC, ESD standards and implementation.Experience with fast-paced commercial product developmentAbility to support multiple projects simultaneously and manage time effectivelyExcellent verbal, written and interpersonal communications skills.
