Covenant Woods a Continuing Care Retirement Community, located off of Mechanicsville Turnpike is currently seeking to fill a Full-Time Cook vacancy to work in our Assisted Living and Healthcare wing. The ideal candidate will possess a genuine desire to work with the elderly, a strong work ethic, and have some experience in food preparation in a healthcare, institutional, or restaurant setting. ServSafe certification is preferred, but not required. Job Requirements: . Able to work in a fast paced environment. . Able to multitask, prioritize and manage time efficiently . Physical endurance to stand for entire shift . Self-motivated and self-directed . Works well as part of a team and on individual tasks . Able to quickly memorize complex or multiple orders . Must have a desire to impact the lives of our residents by preparing and serving appetizing meals. . Must have ability to follow written and verbal instructions, including recipes, have clean work habits. . Ability to prepare all breakfast, lunch and dinner items to order, including: eggs, pancakes, French toast, breakfast meats, hot cereals, sandwiches and salads according to resident preferences and diet orders. Physical Requirements: . Able to pull, carry, push, and lift up to 25 pounds . Able to stand, sit, bend and walk for extended periods of time .
